Baby G's Nursery Finally Done!

Very excited to finally share the photos of Baby G's nursery!!! After weeks of working on her nursery (mainly by my hubby), Baby G. finally has a completed nursery to come home to. It's hard to believe that 9 months has come and gone so quickly, but I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to be a mother. I couldn't be more excited to meet our little girl any day now!!!

So back to the nursery...we went with a Tiffany blue for the paint color as I don't think I could stomach having an all pink nursery. I found a nursery that gave me the idea and that I fell in love with so I copied a few things that I liked. Here are some photos and descriptions about some of my favorite things in Baby G.'s nursery and the memories they hold for me.

I have to give most of the credit on the tree branch to my husband who painted most of it free-hand.
We did the painted flowers with a stencil and added the smaller paper flowers that I found at Michael's.
I antiqued an old frame and small
shelf that my mom was going to get rid of.
This rocking chair was my parents before I was born. Over the years, my grandmother has caned and
fixed this chair twice now  She is one of the few people who knows the art of chair caning.
The teddy bear rug was something I had in my room as a child that
my mom saved and gave to us at our baby shower.
Yes, she has a TON of clothes and accessories already.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
This bedroom set was mine growing up.
The dresser, mirror and nightstand (not in photo).
With the help of my in-laws we touched up the
bedroom set, but it was in pretty good shape otherwise.

This is one of my favorite things in her nursery. I got an idea to do an alphabet canvas from a baby shower idea I saw on Pinterest. This was the painting project that we were working on with our family in April. Each person in our family painted 2 letters of the alphabet and signed their name on the back so Baby G. knows exactly who painted which canvas. Kris and I painted a bunch as well. I love how it turned out and it's so special to have something that our family was involved in.
Here is another photo of the canvas alphabet and her library.
All the books came from family and friends and
we are very excited to read to her once she arrives.
